Cyclists don't pay taxes and therefor shouldn't be allowed on any roads. You're lucky you have any bike lanes at all. This damn hippy state is back asswards, that's for sure. If I see you riding your silly little bike I'll run you over with my 3mpg rear duel wheel Ford/Hummer combo Land Crusher. Damn cyclist. Go back to France.

@Bruce it's actually a pretty decent workout. I usually average about Heart rate 140-150 for 45-50 minutes if I'm going at a moderate tempo.

It sounds like you have to slow down and stop so often that it would be hard to get your heart rate up. How good of a workout is it compared to a "real ride"?

Wow. That is epic. I know its a beast up there in Vancouver, but didnt realize how bad it was until now. Also, being a native I dont think i have ridden across that bridge. I should try it with you sometime!

Assuming there's not ice on the roads, yeah - the plan is to keep riding several times a week through the winter. In a way it's nice that it's a longer ride, because it's just long enough that I can get in some good training on the way there and back. Thanks for the comment - I'll definitely be careful.

I suppose the normal response would be, "We do this for what reason?" However, it's beyond explanation. Gotta ride!

It is so awesome you commute by bike...all the way to Vancouver! How convenient that there is a nice warm shower waiting for you when you get there...it would be nice if more businesses did that. Are you planning to ride to work all the way through winter?
I loved playing Frogger, but part of its appeal is that if you get squashed by a car it's no big deal to start the game over. So you be careful out there, Adam! Wear Christmas lights if you have to ;)
