About me:

I grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska, and came to Oregon for college. I graduated from the University of Oregon in 2008 and immediately had the amazing opportunity to travel the country full-time on an event marketing tour for six months. Following that, I settled in Portland, Oregon where I have immersed myself in the world of digital marketing, social media, web development, and project management. I'm currently a Project Manager at Metal Toad Media, one of the leaders in open source and HTML5 web and mobile development in Portland.

Things I'm into:

I'm an avid cyclist. I've ridden bikes nearly my entire life and have been a competitive road cyclist for the last 7 years. I raced on the University of Oregon Cycling Team for 4 years, and now I race for Team Oregon, one of the largest state-wide amateur cycling teams in Oregon as a Category 2 racer.

I also run, golf, play some tennis, fenced in high school, and enjoy a multitude of other mainstream and not-so-mainstream sports. I'm an outdoor enthusiast and I enjoy living in the Pacific Northwest.

I'm a technology geek. I got into computers in elementary school, started building desktops in high school, and now I'm knowledgeable in everything from hardware to software to social media, search engine optimization, analytics, and digital design. If it's tech and it's new, I'm into it.

I'm an amateur photographer. I've been into photography for a while, but I only recently got myself a nice DSLR. With affordable high-end cameras that take great pictures available for all, it's tough to call yourself a good photographer these days. I'd simply say I'm competent, and I enjoy improving my technique.

I love food. All kinds of food. This goes well with the fact that I'm a cyclist, because I can eat and enjoy food, and lots of it. Mexican, Thai, Italian, Greek, American, and anything else - you put it in front of me, it'll disappear.
